Meet the panel

Our Youth Voice Panel is made up of young people with first-hand experience of Sport 4 Life, brought together to make sure our decisions reflect what young people actually need.

Find out why they joined, what matters to them, and what they want to see change.

Hagir

Hi, I’m Hagir, I’m 17 years old and I joined the Youth Voice Panel because I want young people to feel heard and represented.

I’ve been involved in sports for most of my life, especially football, and I’ve seen how activities like sport can help build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of community.

Through the panel, I’m looking forward to meeting new people, sharing ideas, and contributing towards positive change for young people.

Fun fact: I used to do gymnastics, so I’m still quite flexible.

Macey

Hi, I’m Macey, I’m 20 years old and I’m part of the Youth Voice Panel because I’m passionate about making sure young people feel heard and represented.

Through my role in recruitment, I’ve developed communication and people skills that I hope to utilise within the panel to help support young people and contribute in a positive way. I really enjoy helping others grow in confidence and believe it’s important that young people have access to opportunities and support that can positively shape their futures.

Through the panel, I’m most looking forward to meeting new people, sharing ideas, and helping create positive change within the community.

Fun fact: I love anything to do with fashion and interior design, I’m always saving outfit inspiration and home décor ideas!

Jaden

Hi, I’m Jaden, I’m 23 years old and I’m part of the Youth Voice Panel at Sport 4 Life UK because I want to help bring the opinions and needs of young people living with hidden disabilities – especially Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) – to the forefront and make sure that they are heard and taken seriously.

I’m really passionate about supporting the SCD and ABI community. My aim is to help young people with SCD and ABI – along with other hidden disabilities – feel more included, by creating and highlighting accessible opportunities, as well as amplifying their voices in decisions that affect their futures.

Through the panel, I look forward to educating people on the reality of living with hidden disabilities. I will also endeavour to provide a new outlook whilst sharing ideas, and help to create positive change for other young people living with hidden disabilities in my community.

Fun fact: I am a T38/F38 Para-Athlete and I like American Football

Big-John

Hi, I am Big-John, I’m 26 years old and I am part of the youth Voice Panel. I mainly joined the youth voice panel because I wanted to become the bridge for the youth to be able to walk across from being who they are to who they can become. I have always made it a priority to make sure I can leave those that come after me with something that they can find of use to themselves and potentially grow from. I hope to be able to help the youth in gaining confidence to be able to communicate effectively, I want to be able to help them have better opportunities when it comes to employment, and most importantly leaving them with the life skills they would need to be able to function in society at large.

Through being a member of the youth voice panel, I hope to be able to create new positive connection and be able to help the community at large.

Fun Fact: I enjoy ice skating.

Kay

Hi I’m Kay. I came across Sport 4 life through the Sports Leader’s award and later did a HATCH Program with the organisation.

I am a Youth Voice member, wanting to help make a positive impact.

Fun Fact: I did kickboxing for 6 and a half years. Something I wish to see for the future is higher employment for young people.
