Sport 4 Life UK partnered with Boston Tea Party to spill the tea on how to get job-ready within the hospitality industry. Since starting this exciting collaboration, we have over three programmes in the pipeline for young people aged between 18-29, who are aspiring hospitality professionals in the making!
Our partnership aims to provide hands-on experience and knowledge to unemployed young people with limited work experience and qualifications. Through our tailored programmes, participants gain valuable skills and insights into the hospitality sector, setting them on a path toward a fulfilling career.
Why This Partnership Matters
“At Boston, our purpose is to ‘make things better’. This extends to our team, customers, and the planet, but also to the communities we serve. Many of our cafes sit within communities that can suffer from pockets of deprivation, putting many young people at risk of long-term unemployment. We want to elevate and showcase hospitality not just as a great job and place to spend some time – but as somewhere you can build a career with no previous experience. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and building confidence regardless of your background.
When partnering with Sport 4 Life a few years ago, we knew that they were well equipped to support our purpose in our Midlands region. We have cafes in Birmingham with fantastic teams that have supported the hospitality skills days delivered in our cafes. We have been lucky to work with a range of young people through Sport 4 Life and hope to welcome many more.”

The Impact of Our Programmes
Boston Tea Party emphasised the importance of upskilling, learning new skills, gaining hands-on experience, and building connections for our young people:
“The engaging link with sports and young people is super successful and allows the young people to feel safe and supported. We have met and worked with many young people, and the Sport 4 Life programme ensures that every step of the way, the young person knows they have support and all the tools to succeed. This partnership has already made a significant impact on the lives of many young people, and we are excited to continue working together to create more opportunities.” Tiffany Messer Smart
“We are thrilled to partner with Boston Tea Party as we take pride in working with game-changing, values-based organisations that align with our mission. This collaboration offers young people direct links to employment opportunities, empowering them to create better futures.”
