Chair of TrusteesHitesh is the Head of International Sport, Major Sports Events and Sports Integrity at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. He has held a range of senior positions since entering the Civil Service in 2002. Hitesh has been responsible for major sports events since 2012 and his team led on the Government’s support of events including the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the 2014 Tour de France Grand Depart, the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, and the ICC Champions Trophy.

Vice ChairRichard is Director of the Institute of Sport and Human Science at the University of Wolverhampton. Prior to this role he was Associate Dean (Academic Enhancement) at the same institution. Richard has supported Sport 4 Life since 2012 and became a trustee in 2013. Richard’s contributions to the board help us to better evidence the impact of our work and the many outcomes which are achieved by our young people and beneficiaries.
Dan is the Finance Director at 247 Fitness, an expanding gym chain with a national presence. He began his career at the accountancy firm Deloitte, training first in Audit and then specialising in Corporate Finance. Since leaving Deloitte, Dan has held various senior finance roles in both private and charitable companies. Dan joined Sport 4 Life in 2013 and as a Chartered Accountant, brings to the Board expertise in financial management, strategy and governance.
Max is the Chief Executive Officer of the Birmingham based charity Aston Students’ Union. He is responsible for the effective support and representation of over 15,000 students. Max has held various senior roles in charities over a number of years including CEO at De Montfort Students’ Union. Max brings to the board considerable experience and expertise in contemporary governance, management and organisational development issues that many modern and relatively young charities face.
Katrina is Director of Marketing and Communications at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, one of the largest Chambers of Commerce in the UK. Prior to joining the Chamber, Katrina spent 8 years at Aston Villa Football Club responsible for their customer relationship management and supporter loyalty programmes. Katrina joined Sport 4 Life as a Trustee in 2017 and brings to the Board expertise in marketing, communications and events.
Rupi is a Birmingham-based associate solicitor at Gowling WLG and works within the Real Estate Group's property litigation team and acts for landowners, developers, asset managers, housing associations, landlords, tenants, pension funds and retail clients. Rupi is also a committee member on the Birmingham Law Society's newly formed Equality and Diversity Committee; working with representatives and lawyers across the Birmingham region to promote equality and diversity in the legal profession.
Sport 4 Life is managed by a Board of Trustees. The Board has five trustees, all of whom are highly skilled professionals with a range of complementary backgrounds and areas of expertise.
