Strengthening community organisations to create better futures for young people

Impact Partnerships bring together Sport 4 Life UK and a small number of community organisations working with young people across the West Midlands, North West region and London.

Through tailored support, shared expertise, and collaborative learning, we help partners strengthen their organisations, increase their impact, and create more opportunities for young people to succeed.

Now entering our fourth year, the programme has become a powerful model for supporting grassroots organisations to grow sustainably while delivering meaningful outcomes for young people.

Our enabling model is designed to help partners improve key performance metrics by at least 10%. Over the past year, this has delivered an average increase of 155% across our partnerships.

Why We Created Impact Partnerships

Many grassroots organisations deliver incredible work with young people but often operate with limited resources and support.

Impact Partnerships was created to change that

By combining Sport 4 Life UK’s expertise in youth development, employability and organisational growth with the knowledge and reach of community organisations, we are building a network that:

  • Strengthens local organisations
  • Improves opportunities for young people
  • Share learning and best practice across the sector

The programme focuses on long-term partnership rather than short-term funding, ensuring organisations develop the foundations needed for sustainable impact.

Impact Partnerships is built on collaboration

We work with a small number of organisations who share our commitment to improving the lives of young people through sport, mentoring and community support.

“I’m really excited that our new partnership model will now support like-minded and game-changing organisations outside of the West Midlands, following the success of a pilot in the region. We’ve seen real positive changes in both the depth and breadth of support that our partners are able to provide to new young people, as well as growth and development in the partner organisations themselves – in a truly mutually beneficial approach. I’m grateful to our existing partners for their commitment and collaboration, and look forward to working with more in the coming years!”
