At Sport 4 Life UK, we are dedicated to supporting young people in their journey toward personal and professional development. Our partnership with Solihull Jobcentre exemplifies this mission.
A Trusted Partner in Employability Support
Carys Cowley, Employer Adviser at Solihull Jobcentre, has worked alongside Lincoln for over six years. She describes Lincoln as a “fantastic ambassador for Sport 4 Life who is highly regarded by staff and customers alike. His commitment is evident through his flexible approach, dedication, and ability to go above and beyond to support young people in achieving their goals.”
“Lincoln visits Solihull Jobcentre every Tuesday, always willing to extend his availability to help additional young people. Whether it’s accompanying them to interviews, organising mock interviews, or helping them navigate online job applications, Lincoln ensures no stone is left unturned in preparing them for success.”
Support Tailored to Young People
Sport 4 Life is the go-to provider for Solihull Jobcentre when it comes to youth-focused support. We deliver:
- Courses tailored to young people aged 18-29 years old
- Qualifications in English, Maths, Construction, Healthcare, Sport and more
- 1-2-1 mentoring, including CV writing and interview preparation.
“Sport 4 Life’s ability to adapt to the specific needs of individuals has been great, especially for young people facing challenges such as online job applications. Lincoln organised bespoke one-on-one sessions to guide participants step-by-step through their applications.”
Transforming Lives: Matthew’s Story
One remarkable example of the difference our work makes is Matthew’s journey.
In July 2024, Matthew claimed Universal Credit and was struggling to secure a job despite getting interviews. His work coach referred him to the Solihull Jobs Fair in September, where he met Lincoln. Recognising Matthew’s potential, Lincoln scheduled a session to provide tailored interview preparation and a mock interview.
Thanks to the guidance and confidence-building support from Lincoln, Matthew successfully secured a Civil Service role as a Support Officer in Financial Recognition. He later shared how the preparation made him feel more confident and prepared, directly contributing to his success.
We are proud to work alongside partners like Solihull Jobcentre to empower young people, build their confidence, and provide them with the tools they need to create a better future.
