We’re excited to announce that we’re recruiting for 3 Kickstarters.

Why Sport 4 Life? All that we do is focused on changing the lives of young people. We know that change has to start from within, and everyone, especially young people, respond better to positivity, encouragement and enthusiasm. So, we pay particular attention to our team. Who is this for?

– 16-24 year olds
– On Universal Credit and registered at the Job Centre

What is Universal Credit and how does it work? Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs. It’s paid monthly. You may be able to get it if you’re on a low income, out of work or you cannot work. To access Universal Credit, you need to go via the government website.

How to apply

– You need to apply through your work coach at the Job Centre. We can’t accept direct applications.
– If you don’t know where your local job centre is you can search for it here.

What is Kickstart?

– A 6 month paid placement
-You will also have an Employability Mentor you can work with one-to-one to develop your employability skills and have access to our employability skills workshops, sport sessions, social action projects and qualifications.

What are the roles?

We have 3 exciting roles; Administration Assistant, Training Team Assistant and NCS Recruitment and Delivery Support.

Administration Assistant (Position Filled)

-To provide an effective and efficient first point of contact with all visitors or callers
-Undertake administrative functions in accordance with service policy and procedures
-Maintain high standards of administration for a range of projects and activities
-Arranging meetings, preparing agendas; taking appropriate follow-up action as required
-To assist in maintaining Health and Safety and security aspects of the premises,
-To practice safer working and adhere to data protection, confidentiality policies and legislation

Training Team Assistant (Position Filled)

-To support the delivery of sports and training sessions for disadvantaged young people (11-29) within Sport 4 Life UK delivery areas
-To support recruitment of young people both internally and externally to Sport 4 Life UK sports and training sessions
-To support the Sport Coordinator, Employability Trainer and Sports Leaders Trainer
-Available to work day time, evenings and occasional weekends

National Citizen Service (NCS) Recruitment and Delivery Support (Position Available)

-To support in the delivery of recruitment events in order to generate interest, and subsequent sign ups onto the NCS programme
-To support in the keep warm process by delivering activities aligned to the keep warm strategy
-To support in the delivery of NCS programmes
