BEDSA Runners UP

Sport 4 Life UK are proud to announce that we finished runners up in our category at the 2017 Lycamobile British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards. Hosted by Sir Lenny Henry, the awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the contributions made by black and minority ethnic communities.

The Awards help to drive change in the sport sector where more role models from more communities in more sports are a priority to increase participation. The recognition of hard work and dedication stimulates interest and unearths talent on and off the field of play. Sport 4 Life UK finished runners-up in the Sport England Community Sports Project of the Year Award and were very happy to be recognised in at these very prestigious awards.

Over 80% of young people involved in Sport 4 Life programmes are from BAME backgrounds and they actively work to engage and young people from all walks of life, backgrounds and circumstances.
